Matilde

Matilde has already started early with dancing. She is spanish and started to dance Flamenco when she was 5 years old. Thanks to here experience of Flamenco she has a distinctive sense for rythms.

The Salsafever has infected her in 2002 and since then she dances regularly. Due to the participation at different courses and workshops she has expanded her knowledge.

Torsten

Torsten discovered dancing at the turn of the millennium and has been infected rapidly by the Salsa virus. At the beginning he started learning the NY-style but this changed when he got to know the cuban salsa style.

About us

We know each other out of our infancy and the friendship of our families. We started dancing together only at the beginning of 2005. Since 2005 we started dancing Rueda.

With the Rueda-group "Rueda Si" we already had several performances. We would like to use the opportunity to send our best wishes to Lutz, he has build up “Rueda Si”. Naturally we also send best wishes to the others!

How was Salsa Cubana NRW born

After our dance teacher said good bye, Matilde has been asked by some of the course members to give courses herself. As she wanted to provide the complete figures in the correct way she decided to do it together with me, Torsten.

We have naturally been thinking about teaching salsa cubana one day as in the area of Essen and generally in the NRW area there were no possibilities to learn cuban salsa.

So Salsa Cubana started earlier than expected. We would like to send best wishes and thanks to our advanced course.

Salsa Cubana for us means delight in living.
